About us
Founded in 1958, Shanghai Association for Science and Technology (SAST) is a non-government and non-profit organization. As the largest scientific institution in natural science, technology and engineering in Shanghai, SAST boasts of 180 societies, associations and institutions of different disciplines with more than 175,000 individual members, who are recognized as an important social force for the advancement of science and technology. Moreover, SAST has its subordinate chapters in 19 districts and over 50 large-scale enterprises in Shanghai.
