Agorà--Science and mathematics at the time of Archimedes

    Based on long-term friendly cooperative relationship between SAST and Genoa Science Festival Association (GSF), SAST introduced an Italian hands-on science exhibition Agorà--Science and mathematics at the time of Archimedes into 2011 Shanghai International Science and Art Exhibition from May 14 to 23. The Agorà exhibition will tour around Jin’an, Hongkou, Minhang as well as Jiangsu and Zhejiang in half a year.

    "Agorà", originally designed by National Research Council of Italy, is an interactive scientific exhibition aimed at illustrating how the Mediterranean area has been the cradle of western philosophic and scientific Thought. The exhibition is of about 500 square meters’ area and has 18 hands-on exhibits, presenting great inventions and discoveries of well-known ancient Greek scientists such as Pythagoras, Archimedes and Euclid. The exhibition features creative experiments and games and a group of well-trained scientific explainers provide assistance to visitors on-site.
